SIMPLE AND MEANINGFUL DESIGN
I want my designs to improve people’s lives. To change their lives in practical ways, while enabling them to change their own lives by educating them; by setting an example of how can increase our health, reduce our environmental impacts and better our social interactions. I want to use my design skills to support others to succeed, to succeed in whatever they put their minds too, and achieve what they could never even imagine for themselves. I want my design to be people-focused by understanding my users on a personal and fundamental level rather than speculating over research papers.
I am a creative problem solver, a designer who looks for the long-term solution, not the easy short-term solution. I am a designer who sees the bigger picture while working on the small details. I am inquisitive in the way that I design, challenging everything that I do to develop better solutions for my users. I strive to be someone who supports others to succeed, whether that be those I am designing for or those whom I am designing with.
DID YOU KNOW?
I was born in London and grew up in the Netherlands
I love ballet and sailing... but not at the same time
I would rather make than draw
I love designing and making clothes
My favourite colour is yellow
Traveling to new places makes me feel a part of the world
I'm dyslexic and that makes me, me; and perhaps make me more creative and I see the world differently
I find I have to work hard just to keep up
I've never missed a deadline, in fact I try to finish early
And everyday I strive to learn new things
